Protest is an important part of May Day.

This year the focus is on specifically drawing attention to corporations that have enabled ICE!

Locally, we are rallying against major corporations that have enabled ICE in terrorizing communities. Enterprise Rent A Car is one of those, and they have a location in Lynchburg so we will be there!

We will have a morning from 8 am to 9am protest of Enterprise on Old Forest Road between Whitehall Rd & Old Forest Rd and Old Forest Rd & US-221 (staying on sidewalks and grassy easements on the Old Forest Road side of the shopping center)

Participation Guidelines

Stay on sidewalks or grassy right-of-way areas at all times

Do not block pedestrian or vehicular traffic

Follow all local laws and safety guidance

Please note that in Virginia the law says you CANNOT have poles, sticks, or anything that could be considered a weapon at a protest. Please do not attach your signs to sticks of any sort.

Additionally in Virginia, it is a class six felony to wear a mask with the purpose of hiding your identity at a protest. You may wear medical masks if you are worried about germ spread, but do not wear cloth masks, ski masks, bandannas to cover your face, etc.
