We’re excited to announce that our next meeting will be hosted by the historic Diamond Hill Baptist Church for the first time!

Trish Jones (Lynchburg Registrar) and Desmond Mosby (Lynchburg Voters League) will present on election and voter information. You will also have an opportunity to ask them questions about midterm voting.

Civic Minutes with Desmond Mosby

The Lynchburg Voters League wants voters to be prepared at the polls. In November, you will have the power to help amend Virginia law in three fundamental ways. Check out Desmond’s video summaries of the three proposed amendments to the Virginia Constitution:

Constitutional Amendment #2 - Should Virginia change its definition of marriage?

Three at-large seats are open on City Council this year. And at least nine candidates will be on the ballot! It is important to know where each candidate stands on issues important to us. Come on over to the Miller Center on Wednesday evening to learn more about their platforms and visions for Lynchburg City.

We are grateful for the Lynchburg Voters League, Lynchburg NAACP, and League of Women Voters for putting this on.

Face-to-face conversations are the most effective way to get out the vote. Help us mobilize local voters by canvassing with Lynchburg Better Together.

Note: One great way to motivate people to vote early is to remind them that they will no longer receive campaign materials in the mail after casting their ballot.
