On Thursday evening’s mass strategy call for Hands Off Our Vote, Indivisible co-founder Leah Greenberg shared that “Trump and his cronies are not trying to sabotage the vote because they are strong. They are trying to do this because they are weak."
Indivisible leadership outlined a four-point strategy that we must all implement in the coming months:
Strategy #1: Bank the early vote
Massive turnout and big early numbers will make it more difficult for Trump to deny the results. (Note: Once a person has voted, they will also no longer receive political promotions for that election. Keep that in mind when talking to people you know.)
Strategy #2: Combat disinformation
Just like in previous elections, Trump’s loyalists are already flooding the media with misinformation to confuse and discourage voters (e.g. recent accusations made toward Dr. Anthony Fauci). They are hoping that we will give up trying to vet all of the messaging. Be visibile. Be trustworthy. Be a pro-voter messenger!
Strategy #3: Respond immediately to election threats
Trump is betting that we’ll give up responding to his accusations if he keeps making them. We won’t. There is strength in our numbers.
Strategy #4: Get ready for mass mobilization
If large-scale sabotage happens by the Trump administration, we’ll be ready. You’ve been practicing rapid-response with us for nearly two years!

You may feel overwhelmed and exhausted by bleak headlines. You may feel helpless to resist the constant onslaught of authoritarian overreach. But that is merely a strategy by the Trump administration intended to break the spirits of the American people. So consider this remark from last night’s training:
“Our coalition is bigger now and more organized. Don’t be fooled. Every action matters, especially the small ones.”
